Sentinel

On Logan Pass last year and again this year, the Big Horn Sheep are hanging out!

They fascinate me with their heavy curled horns showing battle scars from previous life events. Last year we saw them in mid-July when the road first opened over Logan Pass. Friends’ photos show they are back even though the road is open a month earlier! The big horns watched all four directions to ensure no predators were present. They also scratched against the sharp rocks to remove their winter coat because it felt good!
