McDonald Falls

As an antidote to cabin fever in January I decided to study a video I took early last summer of the Falls above Lake McDonald. The water comes thundering over the rocks and makes any conversation impossible. The falls demand your attention. Watching the water is mesmerizing. The color is turquoise because of the glacial sediment and the reflection of an ultra-blue sky. The mountains crowd the scene, leaving it in shade much of the morning. Old-growth forests lay beyond the falls.

Memories of many hikes along the creek and by the falls were the perfect antidote to being inside on bitterly cold days. Nature uplifts!
